Build an emergency chain
- First ring: the closest neighbour or someone in the same building — they reach the door first.
- Second ring: the family member who can arrive fastest.
- Third ring: emergency services and, if available, the family doctor.
Keep information ready
- Keep an up-to-date medication list and chronic diagnoses visible on the fridge.
- Leave a copy of the door key with a trusted neighbour.
- Save the building manager’s and neighbours’ numbers on the family’s phones.
